Executive Summary

In the current threat landscape, firms are increasingly turning to risk intelligence data to stay operational. These data help them proactively identify and respond to a wide spectrum of threats, such as geopolitical, reputational, cyber and financial risks. The value of risk intelligence, however, is only fully realized when external threat data are mapped to an organization’s own internal controls and risk appetite. This report details the rationale behind leveraging risk intelligence for decision-making, such as the ability to contextualize threats and reduce the identification-response lag. Risk leaders can use this report to explore the value of embedding external intelligence within their risk platforms, particularly when combined with proprietary data and digital innovations such as AI.
